Our story begins in the marsh and bayous around Yscloskey, La. in lower St. Bernard Parish in the mid 50’s. The late “Doogie” Robin and his family decided to take the seafood business to a new level. Much hard work and the influx of hundreds of boats visiting the wharf each day to sell their fish shrimp and crabs, along with acquiring over 30,000 plus acres of oyster reefs, ROBIN SEAFOOD is now recognized as one of the premier leaders in the seafood business.
Today over 60 years later, Robin Seafood is highly sought after by many restaurants from po-boy shops to 5-star fine dining restaurants. We supply their kitchens with a bounty of seafood that is found in the waters of south Louisiana. The demand not only comes from the local outlets, but throughout the Gulf Coast and up and down the Eastern seaboard.
Had the seafood pistolettes for lunch and they were excellent, along with the service. We sat outside on the 2nd-floor patio, enjoying the cool lunchtime weather.Curtis Bowers, Uptown diner
My family just gathered at Robin’s Wharf to celebrate my birthday and what a fun time we had! The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu choices. Words cannot describe how great the food was. We tried a lot of items and each dish was fantastic. My favorite is the seafood nachos but everything was delicious. We will be back soon…and often.Judy Conrad McMillin, Slidell patron
Food was delicious, I had a chicken pesto the way all the fresh ingredients are mixes give a stunning flavour to the food. I personally recommended it as the best restaurant in town. I had Britten as my waitress she was very friendly and helpful.Agel Dan, Uptown diner
We ate here last night for the first time. The food, service, and atmosphere was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. We ended up getting a late start, and got their close to closing time unfortunately. With that said, not once did we feel pressured by our server or staff. I ended up getting the special, blackened tuna over a bad of fresh spinach seasoned with chunks of garlic, and cubed seasoned potatoes. My wife and daughters got the chicken fettuccine, which was to die for, and my youngest got her usual, chicken strips and fries, which she loved. I’d highly recommend eating here, and without a doubt…WE WILL GO BACK.Keith Builds, Slidell location
